What would have happened if UNC made that two point conversion?

Who would the real Tigers be playing in the NC? OSU, Bama, Oregon? Pretty funny that Clemson was a two point conversion away from losing to UnC.

They really are.

TLaw is the goat. I’m just hoping LSU can play a competitive respectable game

He's a great NFL prospect. As a college quarterback, he's maybe top 5.

A one loss ACC champ vs.
a two loss PAC 12 champ OR
a two loss second place in the West Alabama?

Clemson gets in, receives the 4th seed and they play LSU in the first round of the playoffs while OSU whips OU to play in the championship game .

In theory, UGA would have been ranked above all those other teams. So it seems like it really would have come down to Clemson or UGA. I think UGA would have had the better resume with wins vs. Auburn, Florida, and ND, but it would have put the committee in a tough spot.

Imagine LSU beating UGA in Atlanta, then playing UGA in the semifinals in the same stadium.

UGA was a two loss also ran in the SEC.

Call me whatever you want, but they weren’t going to the CFP in front of a one loss conference champion.

Probably we would've driven down the field in the remaining 1:22 & scored a TD or FG to win the game.

Probably nothing

2 Loss Bama and 2 Loss Oregon aren’t jumping 1 loss Clemson.

Maybe there a 4 seed. But idk.

Georgia would have still lost to South Carolina and Clemson would have beat that same team a little worse. UGA would be out and Clemson would be 4th and still in.

The game wasn’t over on that play. Everyone has this highlight image in their head that there were 2 seconds left.

LSU would’ve played Bama and OSU would’ve smashed Oklahoma if UNC either made the 2-point conversion or won the game in overtime.

As much as it pains me to say it, Bama was probably a top-4 team this year, even without Tua.

For whatever reason Auburn plays out of their minds against them and Bama seems to play down to the competition versus the Barn.

Even with 2 losses, Bama should have been in if Clemson lost to UNC. Who knows though. Maybe Florida would’ve gotten in.

If your best win is against a 7-5 team, and you lost to a cupcake bottom-dweller, you don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt regardless of what happened last year.

I agree. Same 4 teams, slightly different order.

But that's if everything else holds constant. I think some teams would have been a little more motivated if Clemson was sitting there with a loss. Utah got flat out beat. But Oregon-Arizona State and Alabama-Auburn could have ended differently.

Yeah. I think Clemson would have gone over us in that scenario. Losing to SC would have crushed that, and LSU absolutely bushwhacked us in the SECCG. There would have been no rematch, nor should there have been.
