What will Alabama do when Tua gets hurt again, as he's inevitably due to do?

Can they survive without Jalen Hurts there to save their asses one more time?

I'm not "rooting" for Tua to get injured. Simply noting that he tends to get banged up a lot and what will the Crimson Flow do when that happens... because the defense ain't gonna bail them out this year.

For Tua's sake, I hope he stays healthy. But hypothetically speaking, if he were to go down with a season-ending injury, Bama would lose to LSU, at Auburn, and possibly at Texas A&M.

He is certainly the MVP in the SEC to his team right now.

We'll probably put in Mac Jones

If Tua manages to finish without injury (I hope he does), Bama will finish 10-2.

If not, Bama will lose every game it has to trot out Mack Jones.

bigger question is Lord Saban changing his style of play. I think this comes back to bite 'em. part of Tuna's greatness is that reckless style of all out football. he has a quick release and it was uncanny how he could spin around and deliver some balls on a dime.

I have noticed that he is throwing more bad passes than he did last year. without being under pressure. most of his passes are dinks that his receivers are taking to the house. yes, the touch is great and he leads them perfectly but he is not throwing, not having to throw the difficult stuff.

I know the reason for handcuffing him is twofold - keep him healthy and cut down on turnovers. but turnovers were never high. I just think it's a mistake. take your chances with injury so that he's turned loose.

Why do you say its inevitable? He missed a little over one quarter of play last year. Thats it

That is not how Tua is playing at all in 2019.

Wut

He's going through progressions, not forcing the ball into traffic and finding open guys.

It's not handcuffing, it's called getting better as a quarterback. It's literally what everybody said they needed to see from him in 2019.

Tua has been incredible this season - great reads, great progressions, great movement in the pocket, great throws. I have no idea what the regurgitated drivel you just posted is.

Someone hasn't watched any of Bama's games this season.

"Tua just makes crazy throws that his great receivers catch, he doesn't even know how to make reads"

"Tua's greatness is his crazy throws - I can't believe they are making him be a boring old quarterback"

You should worry about Fromm but then again he hasn't saved your asses from anything....

Don't ask them. They think everyone is great til they can't play. They will suddenly claim Jones is as good as Tua or better.

Of all the years when Alabama beat LSU despite LSU talking trash and saying "this year is different"

This year will feel especially good after Alabama win by like 17+ points
