Jordan Jefferson was 47-6 as a starting QB in High School and at LSU. I guess, based on his record, you would consider him a great QB.
I saw a couple weeks back where an arena league team picked him up, with Mitch Mustain backing up some guy on another, this may mean Timmy's career just may not be over yet...

Yep, JJ is playing for the Pittsburg Power. There is always a place for "Great" QB's with wonderful winning records.

Hmm 10-8 with a playoff victory is an epic fail these days.
I'd hate to see what you have to say about nick saban's time in the nfl.
Saban didn't do too well in the NFL partly because he had poor QB play. Similar to Tebow.

Saban had a choice between Brees and Culpepper

Saban was advised to not get Brees because he wasn't cleared medically.

He does a lot better now with NFL level talent against mostly College level talent.

Clearly he listened to the wrong people.

Before TT's soph year everyone was mainly talking about how he would do as the fulltime starter for the gators.
He had pretty much just been a short-yardage guy as a Fr with some short passes worked in.
Turns out TT did pretty good in 2007 taking the reins.
This comparison is erroneous on all counts imo. TT had nowhere near the freshman season JFF did. Yes, he was a part of a title team but I am talking about statistically.

People forget that Culpepper was at one time thought to be the next Montana/Elway/Marino but "possibly better"... He obviously didn't live up to the hype and expectations, but the choice at the time was a WTF? move.
If you really examine the successful NFL teams, they are doing it more through the Draft, today, than FA, I do not know, (or care) how much influence Saban had in the Dolphins drafts, but the continually good teams are draft players, developing them, and keeping them until they can draft someone else to replace them.

That team was Leak's team, Tebow some how managed to steal all the glory.

This.
I always liked Leak. Might've thrown the prettiest ball in a decade.

He should have listened to the guy who stands on the Bama sideline for games now a days. Dr. James Andrews gave Brees a ringing endorsement. Sean Payton and Saban both met with Dr. Andrews. Payton told Brees' agent afterwards that the Saints wanted him and would sign him. Saban wanted the Dolphin staff to examine him further.
The rest is history.

Leak had the misfortune of playing for the Zooker.

Damn you Tim for going into the game when the coach told you too. You should have told Coach no. Fricker.

It was in reference to in the media.
It went from him looking goofy on the sidelines wearing the headset being more of a cheerleader (looking back, great prep work by Meyer to get him ready for his NFL career) except for a few plays a game while Leak led the team his freshman year to Tebow leading the team to the MNC his freshmen year before his time was done at UF.

So the media stole Chris' thunder?

Of course this discussion about College Football would delve completely off topic.
I see a lot of non-Auburn/Texas A&M fans in this thread.
Remind which QB in your history was even close to as successful as Tebow was in college?
2 National Championships (1 as a role player)
1 Heisman Trophy
3 top-3 finishes in Heisman voting
2 Maxwell Awards
Career record of 35-6
SEC ALL-TIME Rushing TDs leader
