It seems the SEC office hates Auburn. They replace them with LSU. How does this alleviate the back end of the schedule? (Which i believe was the point.) Not to mention, I have always enjoyed the early season game of LSU and Auburn.

AU whined and complained about having UGA and bama in a 3 week span to end the season (keep in mind, they usually have a cupcake game in between).

So they begged the SEC (and our spineless AD said hurr durr i don't care) to move us up in the schedule. Now they have LSU and bama back to back.

I think it was more about finishing with the two road games every other year. I would have personally preferred just playing UGA twice in Athens and getting the home/away schedule back like it was.

Auburn has lost 13 out of 15 to us, that’s it in a nutshell.

I think it’s awesome. The sec west now is going to be decided in the last few weeks with the new schedule. LSU a&m bama and Auburn all play each other.

They already moved the LSU game from September anyways

The SEC really fricked AU, GA, Bama, and LSU.

that last month of the season is going to be a buzz saw for everyone

SEC needs to do the same with the East.

Georgia’s three week span included Auburn and two cupcakes.

What? They did exactly what Auburn requested.

Hates Auburn? We're the one who had to play 5 teams coming off off-weeks this year. They also had us playing at AU 2: consecutive years. And our limp dick AD says or does nothing about it.

Oh boo hoo. We get shite shuffled around all the time, and get home games in away stadiums. Try being an expansion or non-Big 6 team and then talk.

We played A&M after AU this year we're pretty much obligated to play GT every year. Not our fault that they suck.

Well this isn't remotely true. Nice try though.

We complained for years since the expansion issue because in even years, we end the season with both UGA and Bama away. The month of november is basically worthless for us in those years. Swapping LSU and UGA got it so that every season we have at least one decent home game in November. Much like this year, we had 0 home games the entire month of October. This breaks that up so there is some continuity throughout the schedule.

What we wanted to happen was to have UGA and Bama go back to alternating which one is home and away. That however is a much more complicated fix.

Huh? It literally only involved two schools changing location one year..

The SEC West Winner will 99% of the time come from Auburn, LSU, Bama, and TAMU.

We are all playing a semi-round robin the last two weeks of the season. Whichever team emerges from that buzzsaw gets greeted with a nice and fresh UF or UGA out of the east.

And meanwhile the likes of Clemson and Oklahoma will be feasting on garbage.

What a wonderfully fair system we have.

No it doesn't. There is an issue with the number of conference home games that are allowed for a team to have. I can't remember how it was worked around when you guys originally played us away twice in a row, but there was an article about it a while back talking about it.

Until the rotation ends in 2024, there is not a way to fix the schedule issue. So, until then, the proposal was to move in to a different point in the season. It is the easiest fix until.

Our AD presented a solution of playing UGA away in back to back seasons.

STFU!Yea we were extremely "well rested" after playing 4 consecutive SEC games in November and 3 of those teams had off weeks before they played us including AU.

We had 5 conference opponents who had off weeks before they play us...the most by far in the conference.I can't imagine the endless bitching and moaning from your AD
and fans if the same happened to AU.

Helps with recruiting, we had no home games in October and 4 home games in November. A balanced schedule helps that. We Now have one road game (Alabama) and one Home Game (LSU).

The SEC set up a Semi-round robin the last two weeks of the season in the west between 4 teams. LSU, Auburn, Alabama and TAMU to ensure good games the week before Thanksgiving. (This does not happen in 2021) LSU plays TAMU and Auburn, Bama Plays TAMU and Auburn. Auburn Plays LSU and Bama, TAMU plays LSU and Bama.
