He enrolled early in Jan and has already announced he is transferring.

What did I miss?

I think it was something like he didn't want to compete for playing time, or something of that nature.

He heard they were changing their drug policy and making it stricter.

By the sounds of the comments so far, someone is getting a real winner with Blakley...

It happens to every team. College is a very tough change for some. Add a little adversity and its easy to break em. The SEC is a adverse for anyone.

I just didn't know what the "adversity" was. Still don't.

He was an ESPN 150 guy and has only been on campus since Jan.

Did he expect to be named the starter after Spring? No way...

thing is, he hasn't even played this spring. He had surgery on his shoulder and has been watching on the sidelines.

So why leave....must be something, check that, there obviously is something we don't and may never know

it's mental brah. Kid is a big baby and an attention whore. I know people close to the situation (from Bradenton) and have been told this by several. He couldn't handle being a fish in a big pond/not being the man. His family is not too happy with his decision to just quit....

No lie, that was my 1st thought when I heard.

Half serious, half joking(because every RB seems to transfer there)...

Gotcha...but I would expect that to happen AFTER he goes thru practices.

But, for an early enrollee to leave before summer is just flat out odd.

I guess all the transfer rules are in full effect even though summer ball didn't start, right?

Just dumb, enroll early and leave before you can fully participate?

I'm sure there's a bunch of other stuff going on behind the scenes....who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back on the team at some point, just no telling right now. My money would be on him going back near where he's from and attending USF though.

Why would an early enrollee have to go to JUCO? He is qualified and fall hasn't started yet, so he can't flunk out in his early semester, right?

OR, does JUNCO mean something else that I "m out of the loop on?
