Well he didn't do anything prior to this season either. If you think he's going to emerge as a dominant player in the conference all of a sudden, I'll just act like Shane Hammink and Corban Collins are going to go off next season.

Don't we also play Kansas? Oklahoma?

I know Mike has said he thought our OOC schedule needed beefed up some for next year.

Take note Ole Miss, Bama, etc. Schedule OOC to make the tournament, not try to pad wins, all that does is drag the conference down.

His sophomore year he averaged 3 points and 3 boards and played all season. Also shot 49% from the line.

Our OOC needs to improve as well. TJ was terrible at scheduling.

So he'll fit right in with most of the bigs in the SEC.

3 points and 3 boards a game is not what I would call a "Solid backup" in year 2.

I see you ignored the other numbers.

I haven't seen anything on our OOC outside of Maui.

Yeah, he's such a great backup he's never scored more than 7 points in a game. Guy is going to crush it next season.

It's funny how Cox is going to emerge as this phenomenal player all of a sudden while LSU's incoming freshman aren't just because you say so.

He's not a "phenomenal player." He's a solid, talented player who should get more playing time next season after backing up more experienced players in his first few seasons. LSU's freshman will be, well, freshman. Some freshman adjust quickly. Some don't. Expecting non-Kentucky-like freshman to be stars immediately will lead to nothing but disappointment.

Is that so hard to grasp?

He had 2 years to show how solid he was before this year being hurt and he didn't show it.

He's done nothing in his career to warrant the adjectives of "talented" and "solid." He's proven that he's not those to this point. Does it stand to reason that more minutes could mean greater productivity? Sure. Does it mean that he's actually good? No.

Is that hard to grasp? Somehow you're relying on a nobody that has done nothing to prove that he can replace Holloway and make OM a formidable opponent next year.

We arent starting 4 or 5 freshmen. Nobody is expecting Martin or Mickey to come and average 15-20/8-10 their first year either. They are just talented pieces added to what is already a sound foundation with experience in Hickey, JOB III, Stringer, Morgan and Coleman. Newcomers will have a role and none are expected to be superstars like UK will need in multiple spots. Martin is as good though as a few of those UK freshmen.
