They need to change this rule. You should have a winning season to go to a bowl game. All a team needs to do now is schedule 4 patsies and go 2-6 in conference. That's ridiculous.

New Years Day Bowls don't mean anything anymore. Hell, the godaddy.com bowl is something like january 6th. it's arkansas st. vs another shite team.

Not necessarily Florida...but Florida State wasn't a world beater by any stretch of the imagination this year. But before we went to 12 games, you had to at least win 3 conference games. Now all you need to do is win 2 and schedule four rent a wins.

True, but getting to 6 wins only allows you to play in a bowl, it doesn't guarantee you one.

They still have not received their bowl and/or scholarship penalties.
The NCAA moves slowly.
I am guessing 4 scholarships over two years, starting in 2012. one year bowl ban next year.

The Gator Bowl used to be a major bowl. In fact it was the ACC's #2 or #3 bowl a few years ago correct? The Gator Bowl pretty much accepted taken a couple of steps down when it decided to tie-in with the SEC. What order are they in SEC bowl invites? At the best #6.
