2 straight years and play in New Years Bowls both seasons? It's bull shite. I realize the SEC has predetermined bowl tie in's but 8 wins should be a minimum. 6-6 and a trip to the Gator Bowl? WFT, Very undeserved bowl IMO

What makes this worse is that Ohio State will go from being 0-7 against the SEC in bowl games, to winning 2 straight vs. the SEC in bowl games in the past two years, should OSU win (Which I'm 80% certain they will).

The gator bowl isn't exactly a major bowl

I'm pretty sure this was an obvious rhetoric, but way to make the thread about bama. Typical, really.

playing on New Years doesn't really mean what it used to because Sugar, Cotton, and Orange are no longer January 1st games.

on top of that, this year New Years falls on a Sunday so the Gator Bowl won't be on New Years Day. It will be on January 2nd.

The Gator Bowl could have picked UF, Vandy or MSU. They got the 6th pick from the SEC which became the 7th when two teams made the BCS.

^This, and UF is 7th in the SEC. Miss St and Vandy are tied for 8th with both going 6-6 / 2-6

This will not turn out well for Florida.

I don't know.....

I'm hearing a lot of chatter about the mindset of many of the players. The chance to play tOSU is being used as motivation for some of these guys who were directly lied to by Meyer. They know that they can't take their frustrations out on HIM, but "His" team is fair game.

Bad thing is, Easley will be out. He is having surgery for a torn ACL he got vs FSU.

I'm excited for the game regardless; it's a huge down year for both programs.

I'd say OSU has the better wins, but also some pretty bad losses (Purdue comes instantly to mind).

I'll be there

They need to change this rule. You should have a winning season to go to a bowl game. All a team needs to do now is schedule 4 patsies and go 2-6 in conference. That's ridiculous.
