What record gets Bert fired?

I'm just curious what the consensus answer is to this among tRant. It seems obvious he's going nowhere this year due to the buyout, but come on, would we really keep him after a 2-10 season? 1-11?
I think he would squeak another multi-million dollar salaried year out of us with a 4-8 record. 3-9 I think would get him canned.

Probably 4-8. He's done a masterful job of bringing down an already low bar at Arkansas.

He is going to win more than he needs to to keep his job easily. It would require a 4 win type season.

anything under .500 and his gigantic arse should start feeling warmer than it already does from his bedsores and rashes

Most hotdogs eaten during an interview.

I think he will, too, but I've learned to expect nothing. Plus Jeff Long seems as content as possible at this point.

.500 record or under and the seat gets very warm.

It's gonna be a bitter pill to swallow if we do that bad and he doesn't get shitcanned. I don't even care about the buyout, he deserves to be offed at that point.

08/31 - Florida A&M (War Memorial)
09/09 - TCU
09/23 - Texas A&M (Cowboys Stadium)
09/30 - New Mexico State
10/07 - @ South Carolina
10/14 - @ Alabama
10/21 - Auburn
10/28 - @ Ole Miss
11/04 - Coastal Carolina
11/11 - @ LSU
11/18 - Mississippi State
11/24 - Missouri
If they miss a bowl in a year they only have 4 true road games I think he is screwed. They would have to suffer several major injuries to justify keeping him at that point.

post your schedule
Arkansas actually has a very favorable schedule to get to 7 or 8 wins. Bare minimum. They have 6 games with teams unranked in the coach's poll. Two critical games take place in September. TCU and A&M. The Hogs have extra time to prepare for both.
I personally see the Bret Bielema experiment a failure if he doesn't win 9 regular season games this year, but he keeps his job just making a bowl.
But with only six wins, or worse, there will be enormous pressure to fire him.
I think he wins 10

Can't answer until I know this:

9 wins very possible, so is 6-6.
I would be happy with 9 as a hog fan

AR might have 5 possibly 6 wins.

You need some work on your dialogue and follow through.

I think you are gonna be disappointed. I actually hope I am wrong because I like Bielema and have always liked Arkansas too. He is an elite coach imo, it's your recruiting base that sets him back. He has no choice but to find the diamonds in the rough and he has to be better at development than his peers. It's much harder to sustain a winning program at Arkansas than at basically every program in the West outside of the state of Mississippi.
