It’s hard with the Shula and Dubose years, but I’ll go with 2007 against LSU. Had a lead in the 4th and lost to the best two loss champion ever. Arenas’ punt return put Alabama up, but LSU hit a long pass, JPW fumbled in a 34-34 game and Alabama lost 41-34.

LSU won by 7, their largest margin of victory over Saban since he’s been at Alabama. LSU scored more in that game than they have the last four against Bama.

Moral of the thread is moral victories suck, especially when you never really had a chance to win.

We covered the spread and scored more against UGA than Tennessse and Florida combined

JPW fumbled

Not only did he fumble, but he slung the ball backwards towards the endzone

An actual victory would never be a moral victory

That doesn't make any sense

Last night is right up there with the Billy Cannon run for LSU fans

Auburn's was 2009 when they stuck around the stadium and sang kumbaya together

Reminds me of another moral victory.

Auburn 2010. We led the eventual champs by 24 and shut Cam Newton’s running game down!

In 2006 playing LSU as 25+ point underdogs, blocked extra point w/ seconds remaining to send game into overtime.
