Interesting to see other SEC school enrollment.

Wow that's sad. Why do you guys root for this shite? An A&M degree used to mean something back in the day.

I'd personally be pissed if we ever break like 55k.

Gotta agree with the sip here. The state needs to promote another flagship and take some of the pressure off of A&M.

Texas doesn't have any place to grow in Austin so that just leaves A&M.

Most colleges are breaking the "most incoming freshman" record every year because it's profitable to take thousands of dollars from 18 year olds many of which probably shouldn't be there.

Congrats on the diploma mill

Enrollment is a really odd thing to brag about. UCF is really big too.

I'm too lazy to look this up.

Is that a combined enrollment of undergrad and graduate programs?

Cause that seems to make sense.

If that is just undergrad, holy shite.

Yep. Ridiculous that a state the size of Texas is relying almost solely on A&M to accommodate all the growing need for quality state university education. Texas's campus is landlocked by Austin and has no room to grow, so it's all us.

Sports shite-talk aside, Tech, UNT, and/or Houston need to be brought up to flagship status ASAP. If that means cutting them in on the PUF, so be it. What's happening now is just flat out bad for the State of Texas.

Yeah, I don’t know if you’ve been following it, but Alabama has been going through an influx of mostly northeastern kids too.

The student body and campus in general is markedly different than it used to be (and some would say for the worse).

Because you guys are actively recruiting Long Island kids, mostly ignoring in-state students. Basically, Auburn is the true University of Alabama now while Bama is the “University of New England - Tuscaloosa”

Auburn seems to be less diverse than when I was there and I don't think it's a good thing. Most of my friends were from out-of-state (as was I) and the out-of-state tuition now has made it prohibitive. Looks like Alabama's costs are similar.
