My father in law has this fat Colonel Reb decanter filled with scotch. The thing is painted loud red and blue and has this obnoxious shite-eating-grin on it. He loves to put it on prominant display whenever State people come around. I appreciate that thing and wish I could find something like it , MSU style of course

And I have a lawyer friend who went to MSU and Ole Miss Law.
He has a full sized stuffed buzzard, mounted on a deadwood limb. He and his 100% OleMiss brother swap it as payment on the Egg Bowl

Need to get you a Boston Bell. Not loud or obnoxious but looks nice. You can have it engraved but only problem is they can't put any trademarked MSU logos on them.

You gotta think about where I went to school tho. Being from SC, I think you'd get it, at least a little bit. Getting "the ring" is talked about from day one at El Cid. Pat Conroy probably did the best job of explaining it in The Lords of Discipline (it's the first line in the book...)
So I think the class right thing is a little bit different there, and I would imagine the A&M folks (at least the ones that went through the corps of cadets) have similar feelings. The thought of it helped me get through a lot of times I might have otherwise given up. Anyway, that why I feel the way I do about it.
Had I gone to any other college/university, I think I'd feel the same as you.
