We were all fortunate enough to see what was a redemption story with Jalen. A guy who lost his job after having a great career and then getting the opportunity to come back and make a big statement. If you like sports at all, its a great thing to see

Now Jalen is being praised as a very good story where players dont run from competition but stay and improve and stick with what they started. But, we all heard all year long that Jalen was going to transfer and be on the Auction block for next year. Now I dont know if any of those rumors came from the Hurts camp but its been all over the place all year.

I personally think it would be difficult for him to transfer now that he has been deemed a kid who stuck it out and did the right thing. Would ruin the great story that the opportunity wrote.

What do you believe? Was Jalen going to transfer due to the lack of playing time and at Alabama? Were the rumors true? Or do you believe the story as written that he was a kid who took his benching like a man and was never planning on going anywhere?

This past spring Jalen's daddy said he was transferring, but after the game he said they were going to stay and fight?

I believe Jalen is waiting to graduate just like he has always said. IMO he will graduate and move on to greener pastures. It will not take away from his legacy at all. Wish him the best of luck whatever he decides. Teared up watching that Saturday . Happy for him.

I'm sure he's still thinking about transferring and few will begrudge him if he leaves after the season. He simply provided a stark contrast to Kelly Bryant by letting things play out and supporting the team.

I appreciate what he's done for Bama. Tua is a much better QB. It would be in Hurts' best interest to transfer somewhere he can start (assuming he thinks he can play well and impress people). If he wants to stay and be a backup, that's perfectly fine with me.

I hope he transfers to Oklahoma and leads them to the playoffs next year.

He deserves to have his own team.

When the day is long. And the night, the night is yours alone. When you're sure you've had enough, of this life, well, hang on. And everybody Hurts, Sometimes....

More or less the story I want to believe. His story at bama is cast in concrete now. He basically saved the season and that will be the way it is written as it should be.

If he moves on now, it should not hurt him or the good story that he had.

I'm sure a lot of things were said the night of the championship and the months following. They probably struggled several times with what to do.

He obviously did the right thing this year. What they do now will not tarnish that fact.

Jalen was going to stay and graduate from the University of Alabama, then transfer at the end of the season. That is exactly what was and more than likely is going to happen still...

I think his being willing to take on the role as backup, play more than four games, and not sit around being a sore spot in the team / locker room speaks to his story as it surrounds being replaced in the NCG and then getting the opportunity to cement his legacy at the University of Alabama...

I am sure he and CNS will sit down and discuss his future at some point and it will not surprise me to see him transfer...

He’s said it several times now. He is very close to graduating, and getting his degree is a big deal to him. That’s why he stayed. Will he transfer for his last year of eligibility? Probably, and every single Alabama fan will wish him well if he does, and would have done so even if Saturday night hadn’t happened. Tua is Tua, but Hurts is probably the most well-liked player on the team. The way he has handled himself this year has been phenomenal. I hope he has success wherever he goes, and comes back here one day as a coach, if that’s the career path he chooses.

I think it's pretty simple. He's transferring after this year when he graduates as was always the plan. He will have much better options then. He's dead set on playing QB, and QB only, at the next level and he's just not going to get that opportunity to improve his passing (in games) at Alabama anymore with Tua there. The media does what the media always does and embellishes the story a bit. It's still a wonderful story though and I love that kid to death. I wish him well but for the love of god don't go to Auburn, Jalen.

He'll transfer to Arkansas and compete with Kelly Bryant next year.

I really hope he transfers somewhere that gives him a better opportunity... I had rather see him join Les Miles at Kansas than go to Arkansas...

I don't see him going from the penthouse to the outhouse.

He stuck it out to get a year under Dan Enos. He is self-aware enough to know he had some areas to improve on. He’s admitted as much, and we’ve seen that improvement.

He gets his degree this month. No real Bama fan is going to think poorly of him for moving on where he can be the starter.

Tua is getting a lot of hate for the last game, but he’s played hurt for weeks. Tua is still a far better QB.

Jalen has all the respect I can muster. I’m glad he went to Bama, toughed out what had to be a heartbreaking position loss, and helped Bama in a huge moment. He’s a Bama legend now. I wish him nothing but the best no matter what he does going forward.
