If Nashville continues to grow, Tennessee can be great again. Nebraska is 1000 miles i every direction from any recruiting hotbeds. Tennessee could be good again now with a good coach. I'm not sure anyone could win at Nebraska at an elite level anymore. And if Butch Jones had them a 9 win team, one would assume a good coach could do better

Butch got them 9 wins twice with a bowl win. I'll go ahead and say they can do better than him.......eventually

They should be happy to get 3 non conf and 3 conf.

I don't think they understand how bad it is looking into them.

No excuse for a program who beats their chest at their historical success.

Back in the old days when the Huskers were good, they recruited the east coast which may be why they wanted the B1G with Maryland and Rutgers. Problem is now they have aided Ohio State and Michigan instead. They will die a slow death in the B1G west.

That's also at the collapse of the big 12 and a sanctioned B1G.

Nebraska won't ever get there again IMO just like Tennessee.

I think they understand. Otherwise they'd be waiting for you at Sonic.

I also don't think its as bad as everyone thinks.

Tennessee’s success in football is almost entirely tied into how Georgia is doing. It’s not a coincidence that Tennessee had a ton of success in the ‘90s when Georgia was down and then suddenly went downhill after Richt came to Georgia. They rely heavily on the Georgia pipeline for talent and if Georgia is winning a lot and snatching up all the top in-state players, it’s really difficult for Tennessee to be conference and national championship contenders.

Surrounded with talent within 300 mile radius, including access to VA and NC.

Also due to booming middle TN population, state of Tennessee has surpassed in state talent of SC and AL.
