Mal Moore strongly suggested if not insisted that Shula shake up his staff and make some changes. Instead of going to Ray Perkins for bad advice, Shula reluctantly said,"okay,Coach Moore.I'm going to let Coach X,Y,and Z go. And we're going to do more a and less b.

Nick Saban in Miami shrugs and says screw it, I'll make this NFL gig work.

Meanwhile on good ol' Rocky Top ,what happened in 2007 (well, not a bad team at all) and 2008 played out. Tennessee dismisses Phil Fulmer.

Tennessee alumnus and sports agent Jimmy Sexton calls UT and says, "have I got a guy for you."

Hmm.

What if Penélope Cruz lanced this boil on my arse and it erupted with a rainbow of lollipops?

i doubt Saban would have lasted 2 more years in the NFL

prob would have gone to Michigan or Nebraska after 2007

It was Saban's destiny to come to Alabama. Nothing could have prevented it.

i mean it is interesting to think about what ifs. Small things have such big ripple effects in college football.

For instance if Saban hadn't come to LSU, there was talk we may have hired FSU offensive coordinator Mark Richt. how weird is THAT to think about?

So many coaches lose their jobs because they are too stubborn to change. It's amazing that Shula had that kind of ego.

Along those lines, what if after Mike Price bangs Destiny down at the strip club (It's Rollin It's Rollin)

What if Mal Moore promotes Joe Kines to be interim HC. After the Charlie Foxtrot that was the 2003 season, Mal goes out and hires Steve Spurrier to be the Bama head coach?

IF, if's and butt's were candy and nuts......

He probably tried to fire his coordinators but they told him no, so he shrugged and kept them.

I wouldn't say destiny, Saban turned Alabama down and Spurrier told them to ask him again. Alabama is really fortunate to have him there and everything worked out outside of Bama's control in order for Saban to take the offer.

Had OBC waited 6 weeks to 2 months he would probably been L6U s coach.

Too bad.

What if Chris Leak hadn't asked that minor to grab his junk?

Might still have his teaching license.

What if Miami won the Superbowl in 2004/05 and Nick Saban never left LSU; would Okie State still lose to Iowa State and miss the 2011 BCS game if they still had Les?

Is that how this game works?
