What happens next year when players/coaches are still testing positive for Covid?

Serious question.

This virus isn’t going anywhere. If the entire football season, and assuming other sports follow, when will it be ok to play sports again?

I've got it forever.

But to answer, we don't know yet.

Guessing they go into isolation for 14 days and next man up. If it becomes too common then we might have a problem with regards to continuing play. I'll wait and see.

When we stop being a bunch of pussies and let those who are scared of or legitimately vulnerable to the virus lock themselves down and let the rest of us live our lives.

Just adopt 6 man football and have two teams form from one normal roster: an asymptomatic covid positive squad and a non-positive/non-exposed squad. Sick kids don't play.

Make it a double header. Positives always have the 2nd game.

Problem solved, fan experience doubled

Like 2021? There will be a vaccine so it’ll be fine. The next football we will see will be in fall 2021.

The expectation is a vaccine by early 2021, so the 2021 season should be safe.

Most of the world would test positive (have generated antibodies) for at least one of the many flu strains; this is no different. The average age of the people who have died from Covid-19 is about 80. Young strong football players will have mild or no symptoms from being exposed to Covid-19.
Translation: it's a political ploy perpetuated by liberal progressives and their compliant media to oust a Republican President who they hate.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

No, but on a serious note, DoD anticipates a cure being available by June 2021.

when there is a vaccine. That is the only way to get rid of this funk.

Even with a vaccine that still won’t do much specifically speaking for football players and the demographic Covid doesn’t really affect.

Tens of thousands still die from the flu when with a flu vaccine.

People will still test positive for Covid even with a vaccine. Sure we can minimize it but we know who it effects the most. 70+ yr olds or folks with severe underlying conditions. Both of which are not football players (maybe some coaches).

Across Europe soccer is being played right now so there shouldn’t be any reason why football here is cancelled unless it’s political.

If a new President is elected in November we won't hear another word about Coronavirus.

It will depend on when we are willing to trade a regular football season for a Democrat president.

If you put it that way it's almost worth it to keep libtards out of office.

I’m done with the nonsense around the pandemic. At this point it is completely political. The real emphasis should on increases in hospitalizations.
