It's going to trigger the other conferences to make crazy moves. I think what's most intriguing is what does the BIG10 do? They have money, clearly the second strongest league. Do they settle for Kansas, Iowa St? Two AAU schools, to get to 16? Or go bigger?

I think they could easily raid the PAC12. They have traditions with that leagues schools in the Rose Bowl. All the big market schools there are AAU. Getting the west coast markets would huge for TV. But would it be too big to profit? But no question USC vs Ohio St , Oregon vs Penn St , Michigan vs UCLA would draw massive numbers, it would help the west coast powers to play in more favorable time zones.

Washington
Oregon
California
Stanford

UCLA
USC
Arizona
Colorado

Iowa
Iowa St
Kansas
Nebraska

Minnesota
Wisconsin
Illinois
Northwestern

Indiana
Purdue
Michigan
Michigan St

Ohio St
Penn St
Rutgers
Maryland

In this scenario they would have 24 teams, and would NEVER have to schedule out of conference games. It would be ELITE in basketball too. Question is what would the other leagues do in response to something like this?

Crazy times

Alabama and Auburn will come over to the East and Missouri will head to the West is what'll happen. We'll have a 9 game conference schedule too.

If Texas and Oklahoma bolt, then I think its official that the Big 12 is the big loser in the race towards 4 Super Conferences. So the result is the Big 12 falls apart.

Notre Dame would become a football member of the ACC, and Weest Virginia would likely fill out that league.

Kansas and Kansas State likely join the Big 10.

The rest all go to the PAC 12.

And in this high stakes game of musical chairs, there is one team left out in the cold. My bet is Iowa State

Big12 will dissolve because what’s left is not a power 5 conference

I don't think BIG 10 would take Kansas St ... makes Zero sense for them

I doubt the PAC12 would want to take TCU / Baylor / TT / Okie St. maybe if they were desperate ? But that's an arrogant academic league. I doubt they would like the religious stances of TCU-Baylor

ACC better buckle up and be aggressive ... they Almost collapsed 10 years ago.

Not much changes for Texas, they'll lose their tradition of handing the B12 Trophy to Oklahoma every year but they'll be pretty irrelevant

OU will make a splash some years but will average between 7-5 and 9-3

Playing week in and week out in the SEC is going to be rough to say the least

PAC12 will do what the B10 tells them to do and it benefits B10 to have one less power conference
