What does Bama's recruiting flurry actually mean?

The discussion here all summer has been whether Bama could "keep up" with other schools' big NIL offers. So does this recruiting success (assuming they don't flip) mean that that they are paying piles of NIL money or does it mean that really top notch recruits make their decisions on things other than just cash? I personally believe the latter - people are going to sign with UGA, Bama, Ohio State, etc for reasons other than NIL. Agree? Disagree? I'm really asking, it's not like I have any inside info.

I think Alabama has a reasonably good NIL group that does things how Saban wants to do it, and an extraordinary recruiter in Nick Saban himself. Elite high school recruits still want to play for him because every player that stays 3 years wins a title, and he puts more players in the NFL than any other coach does.
By the time Saban leaves NIL will be properly regulated and enforced or we will be watching NFL minor league of regionally based teams. Frankly I think it would be fun to watch

It means that recruiting camps are over and official visits have pretty much been exhausted. It is now time for coach Saban to make his choices.

We won't pretend if you won't. Is that fair?

Exactly. Don't pretend Arkansas commits are turning down money from other schools to play for yall because Pittman is a salt of the earth old father figure type. It's like recruiting within recruiting.

If you believe that then why can't you just use that Walmart money to bring in a top 3 class every year? As long as you think teams better than you are just better because they cheat you'll never get better.
