the West with A&M.

This won't be popular with the A&M crowd, but I think they're gonna regret the contract. If I had to bet, I'd bet he never sees the CFP again.

Outside of Crab leg thief's two years, he's basically Mark Richt at UGA. And MR did much of that with a tougher schedule.

Yes he won a title. So did Chizik.

He'll make A&M better I believe. They'll have some double digit wins seasons again.

But he just finished in the top 5 in recruiting 4 straight years and finished 5-6 with that team. Just can't imagine Saban or Meyer ever doing that.

He's the second best coach in the west so if Saban retires anytime soon it'll be his to lose

But act like they don't

quote:

A&M gives Jimbo a NC plaque open-ended year: He probably didn’t need added pressure, but a symbolic gesture by Texas A&M’s chancellor was an added reminder of what’s at stake. Fisher was on hand at a meeting back on February 16, where Division II Texas A&M-Commerce was commemorated for its 2017 title. Commerce head coach Colby Carthel wasn’t the only one to receive a championship plaque from A&M system chancellor John Sharp, however. Fisher got one as well, with the date listed as “20–.”

What should I do? Post mindless topics that allow no real discussion about things until I hit a certain number? Should I just post Auburn sucks 4,500 times or UF is a joke? If you think it's a good deal for you and you have confidence in what was paid, give your reasons. You can come up with some good ones. I used to post quite often on another SEC board. It no longer exists. I found this one.

I am a member of a pay site as well and am currently trying to get that site to allow pay members of SEC schools to have their own message board. It's not the case all the time, but generally people who invest in something are often more knowledgeable. I enjoy some of the responses here even if they are in disagreement with mine. If you don't like what I've said, show me where I'm wrong.

As long as Saban is at Alabama I would say his chances are pretty low. Fisher is a good coach but he has a lot of ground to make up and Saban seems to just keep chugging along.

More than likely his first couple of years will be rough and i'm sure that contract will be the butt of a million jokes on this board during it but eventually he will turn them into a contender.

A contender for fourth place in the west?

He doesn't need to get into the playoffs. Look how happy they were with their best year in the SEC so far - finishing 3rd in the West in 2012. I think Fisher can get them to 3rd again once or twice.

I just think it is crazy they've already given him a National Championship plaque with the year left open ended.

They paid him to win it all, and they are letting him know (like that insecure smothering GF who stalks you while in a relationship with you). The pressure is only mounting. That group is going to explode, either in ecstasy with winning the CFPNC or in anger after losing 4 games in year two and three.

I agree with Fiddle. I would add that Tejas is a hotbed for recruiting.

I don't believe Saban stays more than five years

I think his chances are zilch after the dipshites awarded him with that fake future NC trophy. Totally cursed his arse.

UGA got their title taken away from a team who didn't even win the west.

But they did win the National Championship.

I hope A&M does well. I've never understood the hate towards A&M on the board. (Mainly LSU fans, so I get that part.)

Dude I was 5 years old the last time A&M beat LSU. The last few haven't really been close. This is like Mississippi State was to me a few years ago. Until I witness them beat us, I 100% expect us to win every time we play. Thus, them boys still playing for 3rd in the west at best in my eyes.
