if only he knew about what was wrong with his heart, he would have been a great coach

It was okay, should of been a two hour show though.

What would have been if the shot clock and 3 pt line were put in back then?
His point avg would have been in the 50s

He averaged 26 points per game in the NBA.

Its really good but not long enough, didn't go into his NBA career and troubles enough.

If you watched the show, you’d know that his first NBA stint was with the Atlanta Hawks, a predominately black team. What’s your point?

I got to see him play a few times in college....Just a special talent.
Good show but I agree it should have been longer

Needed to be longer, for sure. I wanted more highlights and historic in-game moments!

Pistol is one of my bball heros. We listened to more LSU bball than Mizzou or arky growing up in the Bootheel.
I always wondered why LSU didn't have more successful teams during the Maravich years. Now I know. That part was darn sad.
I liked the last part, "his game was so far ahead of its time". And he did it with a partial heart. Wow!
Peace to the Maravich family.

I only caught the second half of it. I will watch the first part the next time it is on. I hope there were more highlights during the first part. Josh always seemed pretty happy to me when he was on the LSU basketball team. I had no idea that the was suffering like he suggested in his interviews.

Maravich’s basketball drill vids on youtube are very good. Its sad when I watch guys like Ingram from Bama..and others with such terrible shooting form when there are resources out there like Pistol Pete, one of the greatest shooters of all time, teaching you how to shoot for free.
Very sad we didn’t get to see him as a coach.

He wouldn't have been able to play today. Too much athleticism these days.

You got dropped on your head roday, didn't you?

He was pretty good in the NBA. Leave it to a University of Losers at Loserville fan to say something stupid just to try to take a swipe at LSU.

Never mind. Another one besides ULL in the house. Maravich was a pretty athletic guy himself. Next thing you'll tell me is Magic Johnson and Larry Bird wouldn't be able to play today.

Pistol Pete was one of those rare players that even his rivals pulled for. Fans of all the SEC teams loved him. They still wanted their team to beat LSU, but fans flocked to see him play in every gym around the league.
Great player and sad that he died so young.

Michsel jordan. Magic and Larry would dominate the league today and dominate pistol Pete as well.
