The last time UF didn't appear in a bowl game parachute pants could still be found at thrift stores.

And that was only because of a postseason ban. Otherwise we were SEC champions that year.

As an Ole Miss fan we have a lot of experince in this arena. Non-bowl game years are often over early, going 2-10, so you look for the positives in thw season, like scoring a TD on Bama instead of getting shutout. Half the time you are looking for a new coach, so that occupies your time. The other half you tell yourself that not being in a bowl gives you an advantage in recruiting by havin more time than the losers playing in the whatever.com bowl.

Dubose was worse. That 2000 team was eerily similar to this year's Auburn squad. Shula never put anything that bad on the field and actually went bowling every year but his first (and was ineligible regardless of record anyhow).
