Honestly I'd put Minnesota ahead of Alabama right now.
"What!" some will shriek in horror. Bama is, of course, Bama and they get the nod, but Minnesota has something Bama does not. They knocked off a top 10... no... top 5 team.
That having been said... the committee will be seduced by the name of Alabama. They will get in if there is even the slightest chance they can get in.

These two quotes overall describe the sort of self-absorbed types that constitutes most of the Bama fanbase. What these people fail to comprehend and will continue to not understand is that people are tired of Alabama getting mulligans to compete for the National Championship.
