Is bama in the dreaded death spiral? I think we know how the ncaa loves teams that lose a bunch in a row prior to the tourney.
Crap, crap, crap.

The NCAA was a long shot anyway. Bama has some talented players but not as a team. Give me a TEAM with less talent vs 3 five star glory hounds and I'll beat u.
Bama wins football titles because Saban preaches team. They had no stars this season but won it because they had a fantastic team concept in their play. Avery just rolls the ball out and hopes he out talents u.
Pearl may be the best TEAM molder in basketball.

lol wut?

Y'all only had what, 8 straight #1 ranked recruiting classes, a Thorpe winner, and multiple players will go 1st round again.... But yeah... Y'all had no stars...just a rag tag bunch of underdogs stitched together and coached up by the wizard Saban who had to win using x's and o's and out scheme superior teams week in and week out

Jesus Christ, that might be the most delusional thing I've ever read on here

I knew we’d make it in but damn if I wasn’t shocked we were a 7 seed after our limp to the finish

It will be interesting to see how Alabama evolve with regards to the Zone. How Petty and his three point shot go will be the deciding factor.

Ha. We're still projected as an 8 or 9 seed by most prognosticators.

I agree with you that Petty needs to be more consistent in his shooting and smarter on distributing the basketball.

The most glaring problem we have is a lack of effort and leadership from experienced players like Ingram, Key, and Hall. Alabama also has a problem of standing around and watching Sexton when he's in the game, waiting on him to do something instead of upping their game to his level and be better ball players.

Avery also needs to get his butt in gear with in game strategy, smart substitutions, and having a freaking offensive identity.

In summary, Petty has his flaws, but this team has a multitude of issues to get corrected before they have a chance at making the tournament and winning any games there.

Some are calling tonight's game a NCAA play-in. Both could make it still after losing this one, but it is very big for both squads.

Tide is No. 239 of 351 D1 teams in turnovers. No. 301 in free throws. Out of position on D a lot for boards, hot & cold on O.

Mainly lacking discipline and intensity, IMO. The loss of Norris really showing up down the stretch because he had those two qualities and was infectious.
