Yea... wow! Mizzou at 143?! Man, the Mizzou O is going to get a wake-up call from that stout Aggie D line starting at 11:00am local time in College Station this Saturday.
I sure hope so, because the corners are a liability. But yea, with Mizzou's SOS, they haven't seen anything approaching what they're about to see this Saturday. My Ags might still figure out a way to lose (the calendar is finally into October).

Mizzou already played a top 25 team.

Not a fan of Sagarin to be honest, especially since it's SoS method uses averages and says it's harder to play the #49 and #50 teams than it is the #1 and #101 teams.
But when you've only played shitty teams, the average is probably correct.
FEI SoS rankings(doesn't use averages) for the SEC
1. Kentucky
2. Georgia
11. Alabama
16. Miss St
23. Oklahoma
26. USC
34. LSU
38. Florida
45. Texas
50. Texas A&M
58. Auburn
61. Arkansas
64. Tennessee
78. Vandy
81. Ole Miss
124. Missouri
OOC Point and laugh:
105: Penn St
110: Iowa St
112: Ohio St
Mountain WAC Boise St has played a harder schedule than these teams and ranks #15.

Is there anything out there that looks at the current & projected SOS based on current rankings?
For example..
6 Texas SOS 254 (current) 74 (projected)
or something like that.. I don't really care as we all can only play the schedule in front of us, but it perhaps adds weight to a resume.. or it takes it away

Not that I know of.
My old formula did, but that hasn't been around for over a decade.

The average type rankings are so badly skewed right now, will take another 2-3 weeks before it really starts to normalize some. The dogshit schedules (played so far) will change quickly for the green highlighted teams.
Playing a really bad FCS team also hurts you a lot right now in this. For example, Missouri playing #211 ranked Murray St, or Auburn playing #250 ranked Alabama A&M
Tennessee had the privilege of playing the worst ranked FBS team Kent State which is #207 in their rankings
Those type of games will get less impactful as the schedule ramps up severely for those teams.

Sagarin only really works when the season is over. Takes that to get all the cross references in.

I cannot think of a better nickname for Mizzou than “Also Missouri”
They are always going to be an afterthought

Haven't seen Sagarin in a while, but I (seriously) respect that they keep trying to tweak their algorithms.
What is the "Strong Recent" metric on the far right?
Is that like a recency-biased indicator of how they've been playing as of late? Like Florida State last year after their QB got hurt versus their performance earlier in the season, for example?

Yep exactly. I think it's based on last 2 games.

Another example to reinforce that OOC schedules should not be arbitrarily put into the hands of weakminded ADs and Head Coaches.
The line of least resistance is astounding and makes for some terrible TV schedules.

Only teams with a win vs a top 10 team..... Alabama; Kentucky.

OMG! Even after a Bye Week, Tennessee's SOS didn't improve? I'm shocked.
