Vanderbilt has raised their batting average from .255 to .284 over the last two weeks by hitting .366 in their first two SEC series which is over 50 points higher than 2nd place LSU who is at .312 in SEC play.
Top 5 team batting avg in SEC play:
1. Vanderbilt .366
2. LSU .312
3. Georgia .295
4. South Carolina .278
5. Kentucky .262
5. Florida .262
It's not so easy anymore. Unless you're Vanderbilt I guess. We will see if going forward if Vandy can keep up their success at the plate. Their schedule has tougher pitching looming toward the end of the season.

Good for Vandy but I expect that to change when their competition improves...racking up hits against State and Ole Miss doesn't seem to be so hard this year.

I'm proud of our overall record and all, but man are we playing with fire. Of our 6 SEC wins, 3 were come-from-behind walk-offs. I guess I can appreciate that we’ve been so clutch and start turning on the bats when it matters most but I don't find that sustainable.

We should have a footnote for all the games throughout the season that Ole Miss cancels when they are losing.

Against two teams with a combined 246.33 ERA?
And that's all they're hitting?

Just to give you some hope that teams can figure it out as the season goes along, UF started last season on the wrong foot. Lost the first series at home to Liberty. Started SEC play 6-12 including a sweep by Georgia. But we kind of turned it around and were playing pretty good at the end and made the SEC tournament final, and took OU to a 3rd game in our regional and lost a heartbreaker 5-4 or we may have made a run in Omaha.
So I agree it sucks when you aren't playing well, but hang in there. I think the Ags hitting will come around and I fear all those damn lefty pitchers y'all have.

Now UGA is playing some questionable baseball games lately. Must be that UGA just doesn't care for basketball and baseball.

Not to disparage them but look who vandy played the first two weeks. Bottom feeders. They won’t keep up that average once they hit the meat of that SEC schedule.

Not much going on today, but a big weekend coming.

Why is mizzou playing a D2 program on the road? Can’t make money that way.

KU is better off without that Ahuna guy.
