Nah... a hard pass. However, if the Big XII and PAC merge then they should make a play for Nebraska.

.... why would Nebraska leave. No one is leaving the Big 10 or SEC by choice

We should only add schools in fertile recruiting grounds and TV markets.

Exactly. Tom Osborne looks like damn Nostradamus right now seeing the writing on the wall and getting Nebraska into the Big Ten. Flash-forward a decade and the Cornhuskers, while not performing up to their lofty Bob/Tom standards, are raking in money hand over fist from the Big Ten and will be pulling in even more money soon with UCLA/USC/whomever else plus the Apple TV deal being back on the table.
They're not going to make a lateral financial transition to the SEC, let alone join a dead conference walking which is precisely where they'd still be stuck if they hadn't made the Big Ten push in 2010.

They'd fight right in with the poorer schools but we can do much better.

I'd like to have that name in the conference but I sure as shite dont want to go to Lincoln in mid november.

Nebraska left the Big 12 to get away from Texas. They aren't going to the SEC.

They have a border and history with Missouri, and LONG history with Oklahoma. Don't seem to be fitting into the Big 10. And just had a very nasty exchange with the Big 10 front office, where they (Nebraska) were basically told to sit down and shut up. That was in 2020, when the Big 10 was planning on shutting down football, and Nebraska said they would go play anyone anywhere. And yet, a month after their commish publicly humiliated their school, the Big 10 flipped their position and decided to play.
That's the type of thing that I believe lingers, and I could see them looking for an escape plan. I'd say the SEC offers the same money, 2 games (Mizzou and Oklahoma) that would mean more to the fan base than any current conference matchup, and most likely more respect.
What does Nebraska offer the SEC? Well, not a ton, although a rebirth of the rivalry with Oklahoma would be a good thing. But it WOULD be a good way to flip the bird to the Big 10, stealing one of their members.

Nope.
#1: NC schools
#2: VA schools
#3: AZ schools
Maybe a UL or WV just for fun

And I think there's another round of expansion coming... you'd think an ACC school and Notre Dame would be the better fit. But Notre Dame has said no, and I think Clemson, UNC etc are waiting for the SEC invite to come.

Why not. They've appeared in a similar number of bowl games since 2010 as Vandy.
Although the previous poster who mentioned a Nebraska winter is correct.

The SEC should take NC State and VT in expansion. Keep it southern.

Texas will never control the SEC like they did the Big 12.

Nebraska left the BIG 12 because they lost prominence as soon as the BIG 12 formed. They weren't on board from the very beginning.
