1 spot is highest ranked G5 team, and 2 at larges.
I would say three at-large with a preference for G5 if they're undefeated at 13–0. A #22 ranked 11–2 G5 doesn't need to be in just because they're rhe highest ranked.

4 is the perfect number as it keeps the playoff consisting only off elite teams and keeps every game relevant.
That's such a weak argument especially when you make the first games home game for the first four teams.

Yeah. Alabama would never be left out.
The first year it expands to eight, just watch and see...Alabama will grab the 8th spot with two losses and will win it all.

64 teams! Just like college basketball!

We needed a 4 team playoff to fix the BS. Now we need an 8 team playoff to fix the 4 team playoff.
It will never end until we get to a perfect system until we get a 64 team playoff.... But oh yes... On selection Sunday in basketball we spend the entire evening talking about who was left out....
It never ends people! Someone gets left out and someone cries about it.

We should go back to the traditional bowl system, then have a National Championship Game after the bowls.
Bowl possibilities:
SEC to Sugar
B1G and Pac 12 to Rose
Big 12 alternates Sugar and Orange
Top non-champion/Notre Dame alternates Sugar and Orange
LSU-Oklahoma in Sugar
Ohio State - Oregon in Rose
Clemson - Georgia in Orange
If LSU and Ohio State win, they play for the national championship.
If LSU or Ohio State loses, and Clemson wins, Clemson plays the winner for the title.
If LSU and Ohio State lose, and Georgia wins, Georgia plays Oklahoma or Oregon for the title.
You get six teams with a "shot"
Two teams (#1 and #2, LSU and Ohio State) have win and they are in.
The #3 team (Clemson ) is in if #1 or #2 lose.
The #4 team (Georgia) is in if #1 and #2 lose, and they win their bowl game.
The other two will usually play spoiler, but have a chance to get in a title game with a big statement. What if Oregon blew out Ohio State, and LSU and Clemson both lose?
Part of the fun of college football is the "What if" scenarios that exist. Split national championships are fun to argue about.

Conference champion can’t have more than 2 losses or another better at large bid should get in.

It begins with conferences scheduling similarly. The SEC needs to add a game to stop gaming the system of less guaranteed losses. Once there are 9 conference games for everyone, you then have all conference champs as guaranteed in. One G5 and two wildcard teams with those being the highest BCS ranked teams.
That’s it
That’s it

BS, win your conference and you are in,one conference gets left out because they are weaker, no do overs, no best losses, and other bs, just win your fing conference..pretty simple

6 is the way to go.
-1 & 2 get first round byes.
-3v6 at 3's home field.
-4v5 at 4's home field.
1 v lower seat and 2 v higher seat in the semis.
