Really excited to watch all this talent on LSU’s team. I don’t know how Jay is going to play everyone that deserves to play, I guess he just won’t be able to. Great problem to have.

Finally. A real sport that requires strategy and great skill and the game must be completed. One on one battles within a team game. You can't sit on the ball, run the clock, fake injuries, etc.

Agreed. The second best college sport by far.

This reminds me that MLB will be reporting soon.

If you come out of the game, you can't go back in. Real rules.

It is. We’ve been grass our entire existence but Wes wants to host camps and showcases at Foley throughout the Summer following the season (following Kirby’s model with football) and our outfield grass was visibly in really tough shape by the time we hosted Supers last May. Turf isn’t popular with the fans but it eliminates turn around time for practice and camps and so far the infielders and pitchers are raving about it (consistent hops for infielders and pitchers are getting solid placement on their plant foot as opposed to dirt t you can get some movement).
Beyond preferring grass as a baseball purist, my only gripe is the friggin bulldog head logos which I just hate anywhere on principle

I don't like the turf either, but Foley Field is looking sweet!
I am gonna miss the home run derby between Cags and Condon.
I still can't get used to the Gator head logo. Just give me the F, like my professors did in college.

I’d have rather seen the return of the Block G that keeps getting teased in background shots of the new locker rooms. It doesn’t show in those pics but the scoreboard and text scrawl on the 1b line has changed font from the old Bulldog Bold that I personally can’t stand and reverted back to the more traditional block font. So, I’m hopeful we may get some actual throwback unis in the near future
