E. I actually STOPPED altogether paying any attention to the US Men's Soccer team after they finished 32nd out of 32 teams in the World Cup and lost to Iraq. Have questioned my Braves and Falcons fandom on a couple times (what's the damn point type stuff). As for Bama, my first years paying attention where in the 90s (1996 was the first full season I was able to pay attention and appreciate) and it seemed like a downward hill every single year. Stallings left, DuBose, Franchione.... I don't think I ever thought of renouncing the faith, more like just not investing every week into what happened on Saturday cause I knew more often then not, we'd lose to Louisiana... Tech.

Moment? Try decades of testing. But Franklin has made that 40 years of misery worth it. Anchor Down.

Not my fandom, but 2008 I lost interest in watching and stopped contributing.
UT was horrible. Although the record didn't reflect it, the decline had been happening since 2005. Recruiting had been down and Fulmer was asleep at the switch for a few years. 2008 was the culmination of it all.
I was excited, but worried, about Kiffin. I started contributing again.
Then Dooley was hired. I had mailed my check a few days before the hire. I hear his name and I call the bank to cancel my check. Dooley made it easy to loose interest.
Honestly I think Jones is on the right path to make us competitive again and end this nightmare.

i've gotten very angry at georgia more time than i can count and i have a fervent dislike of some of our coaches and admins but i've never reconsidered my fandom. i've felt sorry for myself that i was born into such a frustrating sports situations as UGA football and atlanta sports but not enough to ditch the dawgs
ETA: but if there were ever moments that proved the most testing it'd be 2010 and the first 2 games of 2011. but i didn't want to ditch georgia, i just wanted richt burnt at the stake. after boise state i'd have been the guy lighting the match

Was there ever a moment that tested your fandom?
For college, no. Never thought there was an option B.
Now for Pro sports, just find that flagpole...whichever way the wind is blowing, that's where I'll be. I might almost be as mercenary as the players...almost.

2008-2012 have been rough. But I always say, "at least you're not a bama fan."
