As a Kentucky football fan, I can point to every year and every game from 1978-2007, so yes.

Then 2010 till they hired Stoops.

The Curley Hallman era. Specifically, the year 1992.

Growing up, I would consider Prattville an Auburn town.

Same as Realist. After we lost to La Tech at our place by 3 scores I was done watching the games until Nutt was fired.

I'm sure it did. The higher ups almost ran your program into the ground.

Being a Carolina fan was (and still is, to an extent) and exercise in endurance. My first game as a student (fall pledge) was the 63-17 beatdown by Clemson. There have been some other losses that were tough, but I was so emotionally and financially invested in the school that I could never just stop and start pulling for any other school. I've turned off games and walked away (the '09 UTK/Kiffin game, last year's UF derp-fest), but that's only been to save my blood pressure. I could never renounce the G&B.

When this guy was roaming the court as Texas A&M's head coach:

We were so bad that A&M went winless in conference in Melvin's final year.

As you can see, he is no longer our problem anymore.

Ya know, for those "mocking" Bama fans for asking or saying there might be a moment when they reconsidered their fanhood, keep in mind why they might.

Alabama has a LOT of high moments, but it also makes the low moments worse than say, Ole Miss or Vanderbilt.

I was a sophmore at Bama in 2007 when we had that streak after the LSU heartbreak where we lost to State, ULM, & a 6-6 Auburn team.

Because of our past success, and new addition of a coveted coach, MANY of the aforementioned fans acted, um, "very spirited" after the game.

Seriously, I was at Davis-Wade when JPW threw that pick-six before the half, which ultimately led to our 2nd straight loss to Mississippi State. I swear, you would have thought that Mississippi State had clinched a BCS title and Applebee's announced a new "3 for $20" menu all in the same day.

Point being, the losses are rubbed in a bit harder, and remembered longer. Seriously, people still talk about the 6-3 win State had over Alabama here in Jackson like it happened yesterday. You weren't here, and neither was I.

It would take something along the lines of the Penn State scandal for me to question it. I've been pissed, but never remotely close to revoking my fandom.

I've never felt more hollow than 27-25. Leaving Kyle Field after that was one of the worst I've ever felt. But I'm an Aggie. That will never change.

Had Bobby Petrino been hired at AU, I think I would have had to some serious self reflection as to whether I wanted to associate with a program that wanted that shithead leading itself.

In short, my donation would have stopped going to the program and instead to the general scholarship fund.

No. LSU is a lot more than a group of sports teams to me. It always has been and always will be.
