Anyone with a brain knows that deal falling through has nothing to do with Napier.

How would this deal falling through be a cause for termination?

No, the real ploy was by Bama reporting that a player had illegal contact with Tennessee. Thus establishing that the issue was not Pruitt, but with the University of Tennessee itself. In turn, this was going to allow Pruitt become the next DC at Bama. But as already known the plan failed and Bama hired their 4 option at DC.

It was really a ploy to expose Gator obsessed LSU fans.

Maybe it was a faux Gator fan setting UF up for a huge embarrassment. $13 million for an unproven high school QB? Not even Gators are that stupid

If Florida was willing to pay a HS kid $13 million (big if) then $300,000 to his handlers wasn't going to hold up the deal.
