Was SEC officiating actually better when Ritter was around?

Feel like people complained more during the Ritter era but more teams are getting screwed now that he’s gone.

I can understand on the field calls but it's the replay booth that seems to be out of touch
I know all these offenses are running HUNH but someone needs to stop the play and get it reviewed
I also would rather them let them play than calling all the ticky tack calls throughout the game

Replay needs an full overhaul, they are lazy and it's time to purge.
I also think the tiny on field screen is a joke. Enormous TVs are needs to see what we see at home.

The game is moving faster than the refs can keep up with.

I think it was much worse. Whoever is running it now is doing a great job.

SEC officiating has always sucked goat balls. The amazing thing is they still get it wrong with instant replay and technology give more and better angles with the ability to scrub the video frame by frame.

Absolutely was better. The fact Alabama was at the apex of its dominance while he was officiating was purely coincidental.
