Dooley was a much worse hire than Kiffin. He was at least supposed to "clean up" Tennessee, but here we are in deep shite over our APR.

And yes to OP, Sunseri gets my vote for worst hire but in hindsight I'm glad it happened.

While yes, John L Smith was horrible, he was always a temporary solution in a situation with very few options. He was never meant to be permanent like most of the other coaches mentioned here were. Jeff Long was looking for Smith's replacement before he landed in Fayetteville. Yeah 2012 sucked but that season was doomed from the second Bobby crashed his motorcycle

Kiffen and then Curley.
Kiffen will soon destroy SC, too.

But your school paid him how much again?
UT "might" catch up with the barn on the number of coaches fired but still on payroll.....

Mike Price gets my vote. Didn't even make it through the off-season and directly lead to Mike Shula.

He won an SEC championship and beat SOS twice in one year......Shula was the worst as far as Alabama is concerned.

Set y'all back a decade.

Kiffin was a fine hire that just happened to leave. Derek Dooley was a much much much worse hire than Kiffin.

assistant coaches don't even get consideration for this dubious award because there was some schmuck worse that hired them.
