so Phil could remain untarnished and Pruitt’s buyout wouldn’t have to be paid? I have a hard time believing that an AD who was a former HC and player would know nothing about what’s going on with the recruiting practices being performed by the rookie HC that he hand picked. Fulmer’s always been a back-stabbing, look out for #1 type, and Pruitt’s dumber than a bag of hammers.

Phil has known everything that has moved within that program for the last 30 years. Phillip Fulmer is the Hillary Clinton of college football and Pruitt is just another victim.

Phil got fired too. Oh yes, they let him resign, but make no mistake about it. Fulmer wasn't allowed to remain as AD at Tennessee.

We will know once the punishment is put out. If Tennessee gets hammered then no. If Tennessee gets a slap on the wrist then absolutely.

Thing is Pruitt could take lots of folks down with him if he’s not paid. Be interesting to see if UT can keep the details under wraps.
