Saban built up the lsu reputation and then left.

Miles comes in and makes it to the bcsncg due to luck.

Sure, he wins a few games, but it's hard not to think that the talent covered for an inept, weird man who still can't land a job

Les Miles literally built an entire football program (okie state).

okie state was like akron when les got there and he turned it into a b12 powerhouse .

I wish he still had a job and honestly still acted like how he did in the old days, with more of the trick plays and craziness. Seems like he calmed it down later.

Okie State not Oregon State

And yes, Les is a very good program manager. Not the best X's and O's though.

Surely you meant Oklahoma State.

But yeah, he did an outstanding job coaching the cowboys.

The guy is no slouch. He made it to the big leagues for a reason and if ole Miss could get him they would jump at the chance at this point. Guaranteed.

Also, everyone always talks about how Saban built up LSU in some sort of attempt to trivialize what Miles did there. Well, I don't think those people fully appreciate what it takes to maintain an organization like that once it's built. It's extremely difficult! These D1 football coaches have one of the hardest jobs you could imagine doing. It's why they're so well paid.

Saban himself has made mention of exactly this. Said he likes to build programs. Not maintain them. It's too damn difficult

ETA: It's also exactly why, in a few years, LSU fans are going to be super pissed that they fired Miles. Orgeron has proven exactly the OPPOSITE of being able to maintain a winning program.

From where I sit, the LSU admin are ALMOST as fricking stupid as the Ole Miss admin.

Well, I'm pretty sure Ole Miss fans think that Les Miles is better than Ed Orgeron :)

In 2017 I'm not sure

Les regressed dramatically in his last couple of seasons at LSU.
