Was Harsin passed over to take over for Petersen at Washington?

I am wondering why Petersen didn't recommended Harsin to take over for him at Washington? I guess Harsin wasn't good enough due to being beaten badly to Washing and Petersen in that bowl game. This doesn't mean he will be a failure at Auburn. Anyone have anything to say about this? I am curious if this is going to go down as Gus 2.0 hired?

Dude has never coached a game there and Auburn is no kind of rival to Mizzou.

Harsin could end up being a failure of a HC, but after only a short while as HC I can safely see he’s anything but Gus 2.0
