I think Texas might have came to Baton Rouge and beaten LSU early in the year. It would have been very close.

We would have been 8-4 or something like that. Maybe 9-3.

No way in hell would Texas have beaten LSU this year. LSU talent is on a completely different level.

I only saw them twice. Missouri and The Shoe Game

That defense... I thought nobody was worse than Ole Miss on defense. I was wrong.

2020 LSU was our least talented team in a dozen years at least.

Don't fall for it LSU... Was told by an old Texas fan 14 years ago that "if An Aggies Comes atcha w/compliments, watch yer drink and yer @$$"... Sounds like a mating call Tigers...

Sorry about that LSU/Florida game.

You all probably make the playoffs if we did not completely ruin your only quality win.

I wouldn't say "covincingly" beat Fl. when a dumb action caused penalty gave them the win.

This is not true. They did not convincingly beat Florida. Florida was not an elite team. And Florida did not play a mistake free game.

All that said (And I could argue more points that were made) LSU started off badly, which was probably normal considering the players they lost, and they appeared to have improved as the season went along, which could bode well for the future.

I was obviously trolling with that one.

I do think LSU was better than most people think in 2020. And I also believe they would have been a 10-3 or 9-4 team in a non covid year. And would have finished Top 20.

Well, I was wondering.

They were awful early in the season, but came on stronger later, so yes, I agree with you.

I have my doubts, but....maybe?

At least this thread wasn't a typical throw crap at somebody thread. You get points for that.

Worst defense in LSU history yet your offense could only score 14 points against it

No.

No.

Beat Ole Miss and their elite offense

That elite offense turned the ball over six times and lost by five with a chance to win in the end.

And you got absolutely skunked by a bad MSU team.

I know everyone keeps saying this and it may be true in terms of raw numbers. However when adjusting for the quality of offenses you played that defense was #36 in the country.

Florida, Ole Miss, A&M, and Alabama all had good to elite offenses. Bamas may have been the best of all time.

The 2 head scratchers were Auburn and Mississippi State. I think we know that MSU was all on Pelini. Im not sure what happened at Auburn.

I think Mizzou was a decent team but LSU had that game and should have won it.

That was by far our worst game of the year. And Monds worst game by a mile.

Lsu also struggled on offense though and you all had a pretty damn good offense.

So I think the weather affected both offenses. I dont think our defense would have held you scoreless until the very end of the game under normal weather conditions.

In non covid year that is a 10-3 LSU squad that finishes ranked somewhere in the #12-15 range.

Honestly, maybe so, maybe 9-4.

Without covid, there are no optouts, so that means Chase, Vincent and others return.
When you consider how much LSU still scored without Chase, and with Marshall and Gilbert leaving during the season... I think with all three playing we just outscore a lot of people.

Erase the Mizzou loss and the Vandy win, as they're not played. Miss State comes later in the year, and I think we win that with some games under our belt. Keep the Auburn and Alabama losses, and assume we lose one of Fla/A&M, winning the other one (as we did).

In the bowl, again, I think we end up playing someone we outscore.

That 2020 LSU 2020 defense looked worse than a clear plastic sack of hammered dog shite.

Pretty sure he is not an LSU fan. In fact, if I had to make a wild, way out there guess, I would say he was a Texas A&M fan. The little logo beside his name gave it away for me, so I had some help.
