Was 2009 the high water mark for Nick Saban at Alabama?

The only undefeated season of his illustrious career. Will he have another perfect season at Alabama, or was that season the best he’ll ever have?

The quality of trolling has really declined on this board.

WilliamTaylor set the trolling bar very low in both quality and in what mods will allow. Now everyone thinks they can do it too.

Yep. Trolls like him 10 years ago were banned for being that repetitive.

Man you don’t even know. Cam Newton ruined the board and it’s been in swift decline ever since. I only post here once in a blue moon now.

The 2009 Alabama team was a great one with a great defense. Special teams was great too with Tiffin an all-American at K and Arenas returning kicks. The passing game was non-existent at times. It really was an old school team: very strong ground game, play action passing, suffocating defense, and mistake free special teams.

The team also was relatively untested compared to other Alabama championship teams. shite, just four teams in the conference finished ranked that season (Alabama played and, obviously, beat all four).

But continue on with your troll.

Oh yeah I’m not saying it’s all been bad, but I lurked since 2007ish and then joined in 2010 and you used to be able to actually talk about football once upon a time

It was tough for bama
Pull for Clemson but than Dabo threatens the dynasty
Pull for LSU but then that means greatest season in sec history

Odds are that we won't see 15-0. Possible, but less than likely. Doesn't matter as long as he adds another trophy or two to the case before going to watch the ducks shite in the yard. Even if he doesn't get any more, it really doesn't matter. I'll still be able to tell my grandchildren about the glories of 2008-202x football through my virtual reality.

I don’t know, I’d bet he puts together one more undefeated season before he hangs it up.

It wasn't tough for me. The higher amount of shitty LSU fans on this forum doesn't really affect me that much, nor is it my only notion of what most LSU fans are like.

ETA: 95 Nebraska is still the GOAT.

What? Every single Bama fan I know was pulling for LSU to win that game, without question. Clemson is still viewed as a threat to end our dynasty (which may or may not continue, time will tell). LSU at this point in time is not even close to that.
