War Damn Eagle, Rod
Rod Bramblett was everything great about college athletics. He embodied the passion that makes college football the greatest sport in the world and he epitomized what this sport means to so many people in the Southeast.

He was part of what makes the Iron Bowl such a great rivalry, and his presence behind that microphone gave Auburn fans something to cherish while simultaneously haunting the memories of Bama fans for generations. It takes a special talent to be able to do that.

I want to extend my condolences to my Auburn friends here on this forum, and my prayers to Rod's family - especially his young children. I will forever be grateful to his contribution to this great rivalry, and I am grateful that his impact as a person extended well beyond Saturday afternoons in the fall.

The most passionate PlaybyPlay guy out there. He loved Auburn. He replaced 1 Legend and Became THE Legend

Sad for Auburn and most importantly sad for his 2 children. Prayers for them

Rod stepped in to fill some big shoes and did it with class.

Very classy post, Tuscaloosa.

What a tragedy. There really are no words for the random accident.

I’m sorry for the whole Auburn family.

This is always the way I have thought of him. Stepped into a big spotlight and did his thing.

re: War Damn Eagle, Rod
It is truly awful for children to lose both parents at once. It is worse when those two people meant so much to an extended family - Auburn, in this case.

I am praying that God will embrace all who knew and loved the Brambletts to give them strength and hope in this horrible tragedy.

War Eagle.

I can't imagine the children, man. To be at home and to receive a phone call or a visit from the Auburn PD, telling them that their parents were both critically injured in a crash. And now they're both dead. It's so awful. I don't know if I'd be able to recover if that happened to me.

I am offering up prayers to their children today. They need strength and our love at this hour.
