Might have had something to do with this, since Louisiana doesn't appear on the list, but some other SEC and ACC states do.

Kendall Rogers twitter

If A&M or Mississippi State had been sent to Corvallis and won the regional, and UCLA had won in Minny, would have created a potential problem

Per committee rules, LSU either hosts a regional or they get shipped off to the west coast.

is this political?

does it have to do with men being allowed in girl's bathrooms?

yes, or something along those same lines. This was a hot topic issue during the NCAA basketball tournament with the NC schools

You average 0.37 posts per day and that is too much.

Oh, for Pete’s sake.
Wish I could say I’m surprised.
I’ll shut up, so as not to turn this into a political post.

West Coast schools can’t travel to southern states not named Louisiana, so LSU has to travel to Oregon? That makes no sense.

LSU is going out there because ESPN wants eyes on the TVs for those 9pm start times. A 1-0 game between Oregon State and UC Irvine doesn’t get it done.

stop. LSU has only not hosted 4 times in all of their NCAAT appearances. We've been sent to New Orleans (1987), College Station (1989), Los Angeles (2010), and now Corvallis. LSU actually got sent to New Orleans in 1987 as a national seed

Saint Mary's (CA) was sent to Raleigh in 2016
Arizona St was sent to Fort Worth in 2016
Long Beach St was sent to Miami in 2016
Fullerton was sent to Starkville in 2016
Arizona was sent to Lafayette in 2016
Washington was sent to Nashville in 2016
UC Santa Barbara was sent to Nashville in 2016

That's 7 teams out west that were sent to Texas or the southeast in 1 year Anything else?

Or they are a weak 2 seed, deserving of being sent to a Top 8 National seed. Four of those are SEC host sites so they would either land in Florida, North Carolina, Stanford or Oregon State—a 50/50 chance of playing on the west coast

A dozen fights will break out when LSU fans try to gas up their cars, and some old guy comes over and flips the gas cap open without saying anything.

I lied.

California needs to pound sand. Permanently.
They want to dictate their own policies? They can withdraw from the NCAA.
“California public schools won’t travel to Texas”(?), yet their citizens are polluting The Great State with their obscene migration numbers here.

I loathe those freaks.

Amen.
Hyperbole aside, I honestly don’t get that state at all.
And I’m really surprised the NCAA is allowing itself to be dictated to by CA the way it is.

NCAA needs to set games based on what teams earned

if a team won't travel, they should be forced to forfeit

using amateur athletics to make a political point is petty and small minded

should Ole Miss be concerned that Cal will welsh on the return trip in 2019?

OLE MISS, CAL TO PLAY IN 2017, 2019
