It was odd that he was out of the game in the 4th. This makes sense. His last run didn't seem to have too much contact, so I wonder if he tried to play through some symptoms for some part of the game.

that was in the 1st half right? Hurd definitely played a good bit after that, if that was the play I'm not sure if coaches would have kept sending him back out there.

The only thing I can think of is that the medical staff didn't run concussion protocol, otherwise there's no way he gets back on the field.

That's possible, if you look at the return formation we were in, it looks like the "hands team " was on the field, and Hurd could have snuck out.
But if the medical staff had run protocol, he'd be in the locker room. Somebody fricked up, big time.
