VOLS F John Fulkerson returning to Tennessee for sixth season

He battled injuries for most of the 2020-21 season, but is poised to become a member of the 1,000 point and 700 rebound club at Tennessee early next season.
Fulkerson has appeared in 131 career games for the Vols, making 61 starts, including 54 of his past 55 games.
Fulkerson was injured in Tennessee’s quarterfinal win of the SEC Tournament against Florida and did not play in the semifinal loss to Alabama or NCAA Tournament.

And he will not be asked to play as the sole big man. He will be allowed to play forward instead of center or power forward.

Abdul Ado rumored to be next, although to me a guard makes more sense to add some depth to the backcourt.

VOLS are undefeated in the first round with Fulky. So unless Omar Payne WWEs him again it looks like you will be incorrect.

Would love an experienced big enforcer. Aidoo needs a year and we know Plasvic isn’t going to magically become an SEC level player.
I feel like that might scare someone off though in the front court.

Shouldn’t matter. It’s all about versatility. His ability to flop from any spot on the court is legendary.

They needed someone to get mad at over “flopping” after Grant left so Fulky was a natural fit for a guy they love to hate being white, skinny and goofy.
