Vol fans, what is the rumor about Butch scuffle at practice?

Just wondering if something is swirling around Knoxville about a practice in which a player and Butch going at it. And I did a search to see if this has been discussed.

It's been brought up. Just a rumor at the present. Sounds like something our fanbase wants to be true as an excuse to fire that tool bag with cause.

So, rumor going around Butch punched one player in a practice prior the season?
Is things so bad that the fan base slinging mud? Or does the rumor have legs?

As someone said earlier, there is no way in this day and age that this happened and no one outside the football program has found out about it.

Yes, thats what I've read but strictly as rumors. Some notable UT posters on other boards have confirmed that it was true, but theyre getting it second hand as far as I know.
It has "legs" right now only because this team is an absolute dumpster fire and people want it to be true.

I just started it, so I doubt it's true. I did read something earlier about them getting into it. Figured I would blow it out of proportion.

Well, it came out after Billy G got fired about all the shite he was doing to the players. Making Jorts stand in a bathroom stall during halftime...forcing player to eat pop tarts till he puked...kicking players off the bus and forcing them to walk in the rain back to the team hotel...etc.
eta: all confirmed by players.

The rumor lines up with stories of dissension in the OL that surfaced at the time, so it seems plausible.
Several guys were reported to have missed practice, and been ready to leave the team.
Furthermore, Butch's handling of some situations makes such an event seem possible, at least from afar.
If true, he's gone with cause, and the AD (Hart) is gone for covering it up.
That having been said, I'm guessing no investigation will be completed until late November. Weird how that'll work.
