4th years in a row in which the Iron Bowl will be a factor in who possibly represents the SEC in the BCS Title game

Didn't LSU win the west on a Friday last year?

Im sure they did, but Im also pretty sure Bama played LSU in the BCS title game after winning last years Iron Bowl. Bama needed help but they also needed to beat Auburn too

Not really. 2 of those AU wins were around 1900. 1 was with Cam, & the others during Bama's probation days.

So I guess Auburn can say we lost this game because we are terrible this year and it not count? Am I doing this right?

I'll give you that you have a bad coach, even though he won AU a NC and SEC championship. Bama had shitty coaches for several years and only one won anything of worth, Dubose won a SEC championship before the turn of the century.

Now as far as being terrible, Bama had terrible years too. But AU was not on probation this year (were you?), unlike Bama with five years of probation; postseason ban for 2002 and 2003; reduction in football scholarships of 17 in 2002-03; 18 in 2003-04 and 19 in 2004-05.

and then they went on another lighter probation in 2009 and had to have wins during those other years that were affected by probation vacated.

yeah, but that wasn't in order to cheat necessarily, just poor oversight. the kind that bankrupts companies left and right. We got a pretty good CEO now, so we'll be aight.

Probably the only stat that matters is that AU is coming in 3-8....but who knows.

True, but after the Tenn 12-10 game in 2009 ...I never count a team out no matter what their record is...especially if Bama comes out and plays down to their competition

That record probably isn't helped by the fact that the iron bowl was moved from B'ham during the worst period in Bama's history. Order will be restored as the sample size increases.
