I mean.... This year was pretty eye opening in regards to Dabo. If he doesn't have an elite qb, they're pretty average. Now he loses his best assistant coach. I dunno man

If Venables is truly leaving then Clemson has to be shaking at the prospect of not having a generational QB or their rock defensive coach moving forward.

Yeah they're still going to sign the kind of elite talent that laps the field in that conference. Although just a half step back on defense would have left them struggling for bowl eligibility this season. I kinda think Dabo gets desperate, does a 180 on all the holier than thou bullshite he has said about transfers, and goes after Rattler in the portal. DJ Vowels is a bust and Klubnik is a good prospect, but not the kind of kid who you can bank on coming in and competing for a starting job as a true freshman. If their offense stinks again next year the natives may become a little restless.

I do not see this happening. We already threw Brent in the trash to bring back Mike Stoops. Plus, he's a hell of a coordinator but does anyone know if he's a head coach? There's got to be a reason why he hasn't been a head coach by now. We need a manager of an entire program, not just a defensive mind. We need somebody to manage the team and hire the right people. I don't think Brent's going to do that.
