I'm as die hard of a Vandy fan as you can get. this is bad

Best defensive player from a few years ago gets expelled. Sexual assault reported thru title 9.

They report a knee injury. Let him back on campus for the pro day and move the alleged person he assaulted to another building to accommodate him.

Tone. Deaf.

Meanwhile Mason spearheads a sexual assault campaign with Brenda Tracy to show he is a good guy.

New AD was involved also as she was in a different role at the time

Just burn the entire place down. What a group of imbeciles over there

What Vanderbilt did was wrong but on so many levels. The student-athlete they expelled was never prosecuted, why because

quote:

according to a summary of findings by Nashville District Attorney Michel Bottoms obtained from a Freedom of Information Act request by The Tennessean.

Several factors were considered, according to the report, including text messages the DA's office thought suggested the sex was consensual.

"Based on the foregoing, I would not recommend this case for prosecution,"

Wright was not allowed to present that evidence in his school's Title IX hearing.

quote:

In a statement, Wright's parents said, "Our son was investigated, fully cooperated, and has never been charged, let alone convicted in a court of law, of any type of sexual misconduct."

This is my main issue with these types of issues

If a guy raped you go to the friggin Cops, go to the Hospital get a rape kit done and put the guy in Prison

I believe in Law & Order, that doesn't run counter to peaceful protest either for those that want to reply about that

When these alleged victims avoid the advanced evidence collecting techniques of Modern Day Law Enforcement and their ability to make a prosecutable criminal case, and instead go to Title IX tribunals it makes me think that the alleged victim wants a settlement from the University's multi billion dollar endowment more than she wants to get an alleged rapist off the street

I'm not anti woman in any way, I just think that if someone assaults you in any way you go to the Cops and put the creep in prison, instead of going to the University's endowment for justice

Tennessee really doesn't have a good track record when it comes to "getting rape kits done" unfortunately.

Vandy is in Nashville, a up & coming modern city with pockets of decent wealth, I'd figure that going to the Cops in a city that size would be pretty effective

Thanks for the insight
