You’re out your mind if you think Vandy will beat ND.

If Notre Dame is caught off guard like Georgia was two years ago, then Vanderbilt can do it. Vanderbilt will want it more than Notre Dame does. And quite frankly their last game of the season against Tennessee showed them hope.

we weren't "caught off guard", we simply weren't a good football team. 2018 ND will almost surely be a better team than 2016 uga, not to mention that vandy team had one of the better LBs in the conference the last several y ears. This VU squad is trash. ND will roll easily.

What? How does beating the worst team in the conference show hope that you’ll beat a team like Notre Dame?

Notre Dame wasn't the same team in November as they were in September. So when I watched Notre Dame, I simply wasn't impressed.

I guess me critizing Notre Dame makes UGA posters think that I'm taking away their win but I'm not.

I remember the days of 2012 when I could freely state my opinions of how overrated Notre Dame truly is.

We're almost certainly going to lose in SB, but if we win, it wouldn't be even in the top 50 greatest CFB upsets. Coach Mason has done a pretty good job of emphasizing fundamentals and usually puts solid defenses on the field. Anytime a team has those, it has a chance to win these sorts of games.

And, let's face it, ND isn't Bama or UGA. They're vulnerable.

And when you watched Vandy you were impressed?

I didn’t take it that way at all.

Most years they are, some years they aren’t. It isn’t the same team every year. Their 3 losses last year were to ranked teams. They had 3 wins over top 15 teams IIRC. They weren’t elite last year, but they were a pretty good football team.

I think they're good enough to beat Notre Dame when they don't have to play Alabama. I could tell Vanderbilt was a solid team early on and had that spark in their last game against Tennessee.

Am I biased because I dislike Notre Dame? Yes. But with this being an early season game, I think Vanderbilt can pull it off like they pulled off the Kansas State win.

You were very, very close:

#11 USCw
#14 NC State
#17 LSU

They had a pretty decent team last year, and you were right....ND is overrated most years, but some years they are not.

I am with you. I can't think of a single team I want ND to beat.
