Through 3 games (healthy MTSU & #18 K State)

NCAA Ranks
#1 Total D - 198 ypg
#1 Pass D - 95.3 ypg
#1 Points Allowed - 4.3 ppg
Tied #10 in Sacks - 10
Tied #9 in INTs - 5

Obviously the ultimate test comes this week but man they have been impressive.

If Mason doesn't work out there one day, he's going to get serious DC offers.

But it looks like he's righted that offensive ship, so good for him.

I love the delusion about Vandy. They're going to get slapped around and pounded about 7 times this season.

Offense is ranked #103 though.

That won't work against Bama.

They will have to play the game of their life to have a chance.

And They CAN'T LET HURTS RUN THE BALL.

I'd kill for a Mississippi State vs. Vanderbilt SECCG just for the collective confusion.

Nope it won't. We have proved that having a top 5 defense alone won't get you a win against Alabama. I am glad to see Vandy doing well. It's a good thing for the SEC

The defense is stifling under Mason. Great win on Saturday against a non-conf team that people thought was a mistake for us to schedule.

Have got to mix in more misdirection and outside runs. Young OL still have issues working together, though they have been great in pass pro thus far.

I really have to had it to Mason. His first year was one of the worst teams I've ever seen, even by Vanderbilt standards. I never thought they'd improve from that.

The bigger problem is that Vandy runs a pro style offense and Bama's defense makes those look just foolish.

But, having said that, I like what Vandy has going on defense. Before y'all beat K-State, I predicted a 24-7 type of game and I think that's still a good number.

After Bama, though, you have a legitimate shot to beat everyone else on your schedule. Of course, that probably won't happen but I'll be surprised if you don't end up with 8 or 9 wins.

I get it.

Teams hate playing against his defenses.

I get it.

Sure, but Kansas State only had 277 total yards against them

This is pretty much on the money. Mason's done a helluva job and Vandy fans should be excited for the future, but they just don't lineup well against Alabama. I'm guessing that the game will stay close until late in the 3rd quarter, then Alabama's depth will take over and those big RBs will wear Vandy down....but who knows for sure?
