Your dismissed with prejudice. Stinky Pinky Dismissed

Actually, they agreed to dismiss it because they settled. So no, they did not lose. I'm pretty sure they got a nice chunk of change.
Unfortunately, they cost their son a ship.

The level of ignorance from OP is pretty astounding. All this means is that Georgia (or perhaps an insurer but I doubt it) paid money to settle the case, and it was voluntarily dismissed as part of the settlement. This is what happens when every case settles.

But what if the real settlement was the friends and memories we made along the way?

Tell me, how much did they settle for? Hmmmm

No level of settlement will allow Mrs Mayes to be as satisfied as she once was..

Likely, undisclosed amount. Happens all the time.
Tell me, did Neal Armstrong really walk on the moon?

Right, so they didnt get the amount they sued for? Right?
So sad, people use folding chairs everyday for 100 years and yet this guy cuts his finger off and it was our fault ...

Overwhelming majority, something like 95% of civil cases, settle before they go to trial. Most of the time plaintiffs don’t get the amount of money they seek in their complaint. Usually the more economical choice for both sides. That’s how litigation often goes.

Georgia won every Georgia/Tennessee game that Cade Mayes ever played in.

So he got them to pay up for his inability to use a folding chair? Sounds like it's a win to me

They apparently do things differently in Tennessee.
