I think he will absolutely be interim in 2021 and then named permanent head coach immediately following the season.

Would be an absolute disaster but this would be the move that finally frees me from these chains that is VOLS fandom.
Im holding out hope they announce the new AD by this weekend like Volquest has said. Get someone competent in there for the first time in a decade and maybe come up with a decent plan.

Also, as bad as it would suck to deal with Steele as HC for a year, the absolute worst move they can make is some dumpster diving panic hire like they did with Dooley in 2010, which is really what kicked off this whole shite show

Yes - we always suspected he would be the interim for 2021 since Fulmer was fired.
